Role Overview
We are looking for a structural language expert who loves the deep mechanics of Tamil grammar (இலக்கணம்) and classical literature, but wants to see it thrive in the modern age of Artificial Intelligence. You won't be writing traditional essays; instead, you will be the core architect defining the linguistic rules, datasets, and boundary checks for சொற்களம் (our hybrid AI rule-engine wrapper).
Core Responsibilities
- Linguistic Data Architecture: Curate, structure, and clean conversational and classical Tamil text data into high-quality prompt-response pairs for LLM instruction fine-tuning.
- Rule Engine Mapping: Systematically catalog common phonetic spelling errors, Sandhi rule (புணர்ச்சி) anomalies, and dialect variations (such as the collapse of ழ, ள, ல and ண, ன, ந). Map these variations into logical datasets that our Python-based rule layers can process.
- AI Output Auditing: Review live test responses generated by our prototype engine. Identify, flag, and correct unnatural phrasing, machine-translated hallucinations, and grammatical errors to improve model accuracy.
- Content Contribution: Collaborate with our technical and social teams to suggest ancient tongue-twisters, literary metaphors, and linguistic puzzles to feature in our public content.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Deep Linguistic Knowledge: A degree in Tamil Literature (B.A./M.A.), a certified teaching background, or a deep, verified personal obsession with formal Tamil grammar rules.
- Tech-Comfortable: You don’t need to code, but you must be comfortable using spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel), shared drives, and communicating via Slack, Discord, or WhatsApp.
- Native Precision: Exceptional written proofreading skills in native Tamil script. High attention to minor phonetic and syntactic details.

Are you energetic, fearless in front of a camera, and passionate about storytelling? We are looking for our primary Field Anchor and Social Media Creator to lead the "Build in Public" documentation of Tamil AI களம். You will be the human bridge connecting our deep-tech AI tokenizer parameters to everyday citizens on the street through fun, interactive, and viral video formats.
Core Responsibilities
- On-Field Anchor & Interviews: Host public challenges on the streets of Tamil Nadu (like "The ழ Challenge"), engaging with college students, merchants, and everyday citizens.
- Community Interaction: Engage with the comment section of our vlogs, managing early inquiries from local software developers and language students looking to join our 100-learner cohort.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Camera Presence: Exceptional confidence, vocal clarity, and charisma on camera. Ability to speak in a warm, conversational mix of Tamil and English (Tanglish).
- Mobile-First Creator: Hands-on experience filming crisp footage using a smartphone and utilizing portable lapel/wireless mics.
- Street Smart: Highly approachable personality with the ability to confidently approach strangers and spark engaging conversation on camera.
